I cannot say enough good things about CVS Extra Bucks. The Extra Care card is free, like most grocery store cards, and with it you get rewards called Extra Bucks in addition to sale priced merchandise. On Black Friday, they had quite a few things that if you bought them you received Extra Bucks in the amount total to what you paid. For example, a Hershey's chocolate bar was $1 and you received 1 Extra Buck on your receipt.
So, today, I went and got:
1 bottle of vitamins - $10.49
1 Mitchum deodorant - $3.99
5 travel sized shampoos (to donate to my church for a mission trip) - $0.99 each
50 photo prints (that I uploaded and went to the store to pick up) - $0.19 each
Using my Extra Care Card, I got:
$3 off coupon for the vitamins
$1 Extra Care Buck back after purchasing the deodorant
50 free photo prints
I also had a 30% off entire order coupon a friend gave me (her husband works at CVS), and a manufacturer's coupon for $0.75 off the deodorant.
So, after all that my total was around $11, but I had all these Extra Bucks from the Black Friday sale, so after using some (not all) of those, my total out of pocket expense was a whopping $0.67!!!!!
I LOVE Extra Bucks! Each week in their ad, they have items you get Extra Bucks back for purchasing, and sometimes the item is even free after Extra Bucks! In fact, the only thing I don't like, is the Extra Bucks print on your receipt, so you have to keep track of the receipt coupons and turn them in to use them. I'd like it better if it all stayed on the card, but I guess then they wouldn't make any money off those poor souls who lose their receipt coupons.
So, go get an Extra Care Card and start keeping those Bucks!
